So if you haven’t been keeping up with the news, let me give you the backstory.
So Don Lemon was trying to get Elon Musk to hire him to be a big time personality on X/Twitter (X is such a dumb name). He had some pretty steep demands.
But let’s put that aside…
Don wanted to have a big first interview and Elon agreed to do it since he wants more exposure on X as a media platform.
The interview was pretty hostile with Don asking tough questions and Elon seeming to be blindsided, literally saying he was there to do Don a favor.
But let’s put that aside…
What happened afterwards is kind of unremarkable. Musk decided not to enter a contract with Mr. Lemon. Let me make that clear: no contract had been signed.
Tuesday, on Pivot, Swisher's podcast with Scott Galloway, Lemon said he did not sign a contract with X, which complicates matters further.
So let’s ignore Don tanked his whole deal by being extremely aggressive towards the person he wanted to have hire him…
What I want to talk about is something Mr. Lemon said in an interview he did in The View.
See, Don said Musk blamed Boeing’s recent issues on DEI policies.
Don, laughing, said that while the plane that had a door fall off did have a female pilot, she went on to safely land the plane and that Musk was a moron.
The hosts of the show and Mr. Lemon all had a good laugh at that.
The fact Mr. Lemon cannot distinguish that obviously Musk was talking about workers at the assembly line who installed the door and not the pilot is perhaps the most idiotic thing I have seen in modern media, irregardless of whether Musk is right or not.
Add this to the huge pile of reasons you should never trust mainstream media personalities…and good lord what a fucking moron.
