What's important at Sibble & Associates
I highly respect people and companies that have good values and morals. So on the very first day of Sibble & Associates, I wrote our values.
I only intend to hire top notch people at S&A and I expect they will find our values compatible as they are meant to foster the best engineering and product environment possible. They are:
Treat everyone with the respect and in the manner you would want for yourself.
We only hire the best so we expect you to bring your best, both professionally and personally.
Above all else, have fun. If you’re not, talk to George.
Family and personal time come first. Work is not the most important thing in our lives.
We prioritize customers and each other over investors. It’s more important we have happy customers and a good time working together than making some investor happy.
Take care of yourself. Get to the Dr. See your dentist. Go to the gym. We want you happy and healthy.
You time is your own
Whatever hours and wherever you choose to work, it’s up to you.
As long as you meet your deadlines, you will not have more work piled upon you if you complete it early. Extra time belongs to you. Go enjoy it.
We invest in fixed assets for employees for them to be productive. Need something? Don’t hesitate to ask.
We want the place you sit and work to be your favorite spot in your world. We are willing to go above and beyond to do that. Never hesitate to ask for what you need.
As we are top engineers ourselves, we are super picky about our hardware. I have a $400 keyboard. So should you. Need a nice keyboard? Mouse? Desk? Triple monitors? Chair? White board? Insane headphone setup? A darn poster you love? Just ask. We will never turn down anything reasonable that makes your workspace more effective, efficient, and comfortable because we want you working at maximum efficiency and loving it while you do it.
This doesn’t just go for engineers. All employees need a happy workspace.
Similarly, we invest in services that the company needs. Need something to grow sales leads? Need some technical service like Sentry or Datadog? Ask and it's yours.
Transparency and honesty - We will always be very transparent and honest with you about what is going on but this is a two way street. We expect you to treat us with the same respect. Once trust is broken, it’s hard to get back.
We love feedback. We want this to be the best working experience/environment you’ve ever had. Have any ideas? Slack George or send him an email.
Don’t gossip. Have an issue? Bring it to the person. Be an adult. We resolve our differences. Gossip is unhealthy and detrimental to the company. And remember, since we only hire the best, you’re working with other top professionals.
Always go above and beyond for the customer. They may not always be right, but if they make a reasonable request, make them happy. Customer satisfaction is a top priority.
